"It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35)
Whenever I stub a toe or get the flu or come down with full-blown pneumonia, I try and remind myself that no matter what's going on in my little corner of the world, somebody out there is worse off than I am.
That’s why I donate a generous portion of my annual income to charities and organizations like Pathfinders for Autism, The Autism Society of America, Soldiers Angels, Wounded Warrior Project, the Wolf Sanctuary of Pennsylvania, and others. It’s really no sacrifice, giving up a few Hershey’s Bars, Maybelline products, and Dominos Pizzas to thank them for all they do to improve the lives of others. Besides, 'giving back' feels so doggoned good!
If, after visiting these sites, you’re inspired to add one or more to your 'favorites' list, too, drop me a note so I can send you a great big thank you on their behalf (and show my appreciation by sending you an autographed copy of my latest release)!
